When visiting Acadia there are a multitude of quality lodging establishments choose from. The locations listed here are some of our favorites.

Bar Harbor Inn

This fine Bar Harbor Hotel is located right on the water next to the town pier. It has a prime location since it is just a short walk to town yet sits on 8 acres of oceanfront property. The location is very private and exclusive yet in the center of the action in town.

Another great attraction is the 1/2 mile long "shore path" that wraps around the Inn and then continues in front of some of the fine oceanfront homes in Bar Harbor. This short, easy trail ends on the upper section of Main Street which allows you to then visit the many stores in Bar Harbor on the way back.

The Bar Harbor Inn is also known for fine dining as well as a great outside restaurant called the Terrace Grille. Here you can choose from Lobster Bakes and other delicious traditional Maine coast food selections. The Inn has a variety of rooms for all tastes and budgets. A great place to stay!

Atlantic Oceanside Hotel

Another great option for a Bar Harbor Hotel is the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel & Conference Center. This property is located just outside of downtown Bar Harbor but very close to the entrance to Acadia National Park.

Formerly known as the Atlantic Oakes, this hotel has recently gone through some extensive renovations. This past winter they took down 4 buildings that were very old and outdated and replaced them with a beautiful new oceanfront building. The new building has a lower profile than the previous buildings giving the whole property a much needed face lift. Most of the other rooms on the property have also undergone renovations.

Not only is the close access to Acadia a plus but by 2012 there will be a new trail leading from the back of the Acadia Inn (across the street) right into Acadia National Park.
